What Is Wood-Pressing?
Wood-pressing (also called ghani or kachi ghani pressing) is a traditional method of extracting oil. Seeds or dried coconut are placed in a mortar-like vessel and crushed by a wooden pestle that rotates slowly. The oil that separates is then allowed to settle and is filtered before bottling.
Because the press turns slowly, the method is gentler than high-speed industrial expellers. It is a method with deep roots in Indian villages and kitchens — and the reason our oils carry the label Wood-Pressed.
Ingredients and Product Selection
Each VedSaras oil is made from a single named ingredient — black mustard seed, yellow mustard seed, groundnut or coconut. The exact declaration for every batch is printed on the product label.

What We Will Not Do
- Claim that our products cure, prevent or treat any disease.
- Call a product organic, chemical-free or preservative-free without the evidence to support it.
- Use fear-based marketing about other food products.
