The Natural Simplicity of Coconut
Clear as water, with a soft, fresh coconut aroma. VedSaras Wood Press Virgin Coconut Oil is pressed from 100% coconut (copra) in a traditional wooden ghani — a pure, single-ingredient oil inspired by the countless ways Indian homes have used the “Kalpavriksha” for generations.

Why Wood-Pressed?
Wood pressing is a traditional extraction method that uses slow mechanical pressure rather than intensive refining processes. This helps preserve the oil’s natural aroma, rich flavour and original characteristics — making it a preferred choice for generations.

Getting the Best from Your Virgin Coconut Oil
How to store
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat — not right next to the stove.
- Keep the cap tightly closed after every use.
- Never let water or a wet spoon get into the bottle.
- Best before 12 months from the date of packaging, as printed on the label. Once opened, use within a few months for the best aroma.
It may turn solid — that is normal: virgin coconut oil naturally becomes white and solid below about 24 °C. Stand the closed bottle in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes and it will melt back to clear. Do not heat the bottle directly on a flame or in the microwave.
How to use
- Kerala & South Indian cooking: thoran, avial, sambar and tempering with mustard seeds and curry leaves — on medium heat.
- As a finishing oil: a spoonful of raw coconut oil stirred into avial or rice brings out the fresh coconut aroma.
- Light frying & baking: banana chips, snacks, and as a substitute for butter in some bakes.
- Pour or scoop with a clean, dry spoon.
